Children's Museum of Oak Ridge

We spent a day at the Children's Museum of Oak Ridge. The kids took some pictures and want to share their thoughts on some of the exhibits we saw:

A Porcupine fish is sometimes called a Blowfish. If a predator tries to eat it, it blows up and it is harder to eat it because its quills expand out of its body.

In part of the Chidren's Museum of Oak Ridge, there was a room that was filled only with puppets made by hand by one lady. They were very beautiful, but my favorite was the wolf pictured above.

The bear above is a Polar bear. These bears live in the North Pole. They live on ice and they often go down to eat seals from the sea. They are the biggest and most dangerous bears except for the Alaskan brown bears.
By Braden

There was a kid's size plantation house in the Museum that the kids enjoyed playing in.

The kids would have spent most of the day playing in this rocket if there wasn't so much else to see!

There were several replicas of cabins showing what they would have looked like in the frontier days.

Good pictures. We've been there, too, and the little house is my favorite.
